Questions & Answers from our audience

Between 2030 and 2050, we expect at least 4,000 aircraft based on this segment-constrained demand up to 10,000 aircraft – if disruption drivers occur. Covid accelerated a people decentralization trend that was already ongoing. The overall mobility ecosystem is in the dawn of a disruption with the new upcoming models and the demand for these aircraft that we presented today is going to grow simultaneously to this disruption, as people connect more and more in thin P2P routes and from the countryside cities to secondary hubs.

In the post-covid world, with drivers like regionalization, working from home, and demands from the newest generation of consumers such as sustainability, the balance between work and leisure, and conscious money choices, sustainable efficient connectivity is a major topic. Imagine the possibility to start your journey with EVE’s eVTOL from a big urban center to a metropolitan region, and then easily following up through a commuter to take passengers to a big variety of destinations, and emission-free.

As an OEM, our biggest contribution to aviation’s environmental challenges is through monitoring and developing new technologies and products. Over the last 3 decades, Embraer proved to be one of the, if not the most prominent OEMs in the global aviation space in terms of efficiency, time, and costs of certification of new products. Energia family being presented today provides a technical and commercial pathway to the aviation challenge of being net-zero by 2050. Technically each one of the concepts presented has been thoroughly studied to be a bold but viable carrier on their segments. Commercially their start of operation is in line with most renowned energy agencies’ forecasts for renewable energy availability and costs that make them feasible to operate.

We don’t see a replacement. We believe both will coexist and that each of them has its benefits and weaknesses. The increasing demand for connectivity drives a simultaneous increase in short-haul routes. The industry challenge is to serve this demand with an environmentally friendly solution and the aviation decarbonization roadmap defines a solid and doable strategy to achieve this goal.
